TBMV was estabilished in 18'th January 
1972, with the educational re-organisation 
effected in that year. This was done 
amalgamating three schools that were
in existance then in the city of Tangalle
with 26 teachers and about 600girls.
This was the only girls school then in the 
District of Hambantota.
        During a brief period of time we were
able to attain this Golden era of our school,
because of the dedicated service of our 
Principal and the staff of teachers from 
the inception.
